We have much to pray for this week as January 22nd marks the 43rd anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, the Supreme Court decision which legalized abortion, resulting in the death of over 56 million children so far in America.
Let us also pray for a greater respect for all life from conception until natural death in our nation and throughout our world.
In addition, January 18th-25th marks the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, so please pray for our Christian family to come together and stand united, especially when it comes to issues of life, morality and religious freedom.
Even if we are not in perfect union, we still need to speak in unison so as to face the struggles of the day in an effective way.
In this Year of Mercy, let us call down God’s Mercy upon us to heal the brokenness and divisions in our Christian family and nation.
May God bless you all!
– Fr. Gordon

Parish and Community Pro-Life Training
On Saturday, January 30th, from 6:15pm to 7:00pm (immediately following 5:00 Mass) R.J. McVeigh will be presenting an interactive seminar in Angel Hall on why the Church is pro-life, and why even our secular society ought to agree. R.J. is the Director of Apologetics for Students for Life of America and will be giving a presentation similar to the Apologetics Trainings he gives to Students for Life groups in the region. The goal of this seminar is to affirm confidence in the Church’s teachings regarding the importance of human life, and to equip our community to be effective and compassionate advocates for the preborn. Please invite friends and family members – all are welcome!
