"We are so blessed as a church to have adoration of Our Lord’s sacred
blessings he pours out on us, our family, our parish, our town, our
nation, and the world, if we did nothing more than this, we would have
done a great work. Yet we can do more than this. We can praise, sing,
speak with our hearts, listen to his voice, plead the needs of so many,
adore Jesus as the angels gathered near him do. Sometimes all we need to
do is rest and look at him and let Jesus look at you and love you. If
any of us needs peace or help or to be empowered, or free from any sin,
or stronger faith or guidance in life—and most of us need these
things—then come to adoration. Outside of Mass, I believe this is our
strongest prayer. Never in this life or the next will you regret time
spent in adoration."
"Holy Hour!! I’d love to, but I don’t have time - my family and job
take up all my hours. We have all said those things. I knew I was
perfectly able to spend one hour a week with God. After all he has given
me, how could I say no? Besides, it’s a break for me from everybody and
everything that takes up my life. Well, it has been five years and I
can’t name all the peace, happiness, and clarity I have come to know. I
look so forward to "MY TIME" with God each week. It is refreshing to
know in all this craziness God has time for just me and I have a safe,
beautiful, and quiet place to connect without interruption. Like many of
you, I tried taking the time at home, in the car, on my lunch hour, etc.
for reflection but there are too many distractions! By committing to one
hour a week, I know that no matter what I will have my special time with
God. Sometimes my mind will wander, but I know God is glad I am there
with him and that I put everything else aside for him. I know how good I
feel when someone puts me first and God does just that each and every
day for us. Don’t keep yourself from experiencing this beautiful gift
our parish has to offer. Things do come up for each of us, but if more
of us are involved we can make sure Jesus is never left unattended at
St. Robert Church. You can’t believe the beautiful gift waiting for you
during "YOUR TIME"!"
