Mission Statement

Working in partnership with parents and in response to Christ’s directive to “share the good news” the St. Robert Religious Education Program endeavors to instill in each participant an appreciation for the uniqueness of each individual as created in God’s image, an understanding Christian values, an introduction to Church doctrine and an experience of loving acceptance in their Catholic Church family.

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd classes are given to all pre-k thru 3rd grade.  The Montessori based program uses age appropriate presentations and work materials for certain biblical and liturgical themes.  The environment called the “Atrium” contains many concrete materials, consistent with the themes, allowing the children to experience their faith on the head knowledge and heart knowledge levels.

WEDNESDAY K-8 CALENDAR 2007/2008

SUNDAY 7/8TH GRADE CALENDAR 2007/2008

Liturgy of the Word for Children is offered each Sunday September through May (except Easter) at the 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. masses for children in grades K-4.  No sign up is necessary to participate.

The Family-Centered Program offers parents another religious education option.  Held in the school library on the first Sunday of each month from October through March, and the third Sunday in April, following the 9:30 a.m. mass.  This program offers families an opportunity to gather with other families, participate in small group discussions on topics of faith, enjoy a craft activity, and work together on service projects. If families choose this for their religious education option, they also do home study with their children.  If their children are enrolled in our school or religious education program, the Family-Centered Program offers families a guaranteed, monthly opportunity to share their faith with one another.

Call the religious ed office for more information.
